I don't know if this has been done before.
I discovered a little trick to make head bolts the size you want.
Here is a mini tutorial on how I did it.
See the following pictures.
-Material & tools used (FIMO paste, hex key, some pop can aluminum etc.)
- Hex hole made in the alu layer
-The assembled tool.
-Tool in action (press the FIMO trough the hole.
- Ready to slice.
- Final result.
- An alternative squeezing tool (syringe made).
Feel free to ask and comment.

Now thats cool, I'll give that a try.
I'll probably cut myself and bleed all over my work bench but it might be worth it.
Thanks Franky

Zappa! Now that's slick! Simple, useful....nice.
Quick question....what is FIMO paste? Or at least, what's it's composition?
Thanks!
Mike

FIMA is like sculpy clay.

If I ever run out of hex rod, I'll give this a shot. Of,course, if I ever need a bolt so big I have no corresponding hex rod, I may do this sooner.
I agree it will make a good article, though, Scott. Good idea.

You know I’ve been doing the heating of the plastic rod on the Edward PE edge thing to make my bolt heads forever. Frankie’s idea comes along and I think man now that would be easier. Cuhail comes along with the hex rod. I’ve had square rod for a long time and never even thought to look for hex rod. While I’m checking out hex rod I find out that they even make 6 various size bolt heads you just have to pull up from a sticky back and glue on. Man I’d better be checking things out a little better.
Thanks Guys for the tips,
Bob

Welcome to the future, I guess, huh? I didn't know about the peel-and-stick hex heads, but, I know that a Britta water cartridge has millions of tiny spheres that, when dried and cut in half, make round rivet heads.

Scott where and how to submit the article.
This would be a great satisfaction for me.
