I noticed recently that some people had been critical of manufacturers for producing figures in non action poses. Note, the last two figures releases from Dragon, US Marines and Allied figures which are all in action poses . This and recent trends for modern figures and kits on sites such as this seems to be producing results. Agreed

Rather an ironic complaint, considering that most of a soldier's time is not spent in action in RL wartime.

While agreeing essentially with your comments, i'd add another factor. The coverage that companies such as MiniArt & Masterbox are getting is inevitably pushing DML into a 'corner' where they are reacting to this increasing demand - good for the manufacturers, good for the hobby and great for increased choice for the consumer...

There is still an enormous demand for both types of figure and all the majors are now reflecting this...

Pointing figures are a necessary evil. I think the manufacturers could help the problem by throwing in a few extra arms and hands so poses could be adjusted. I see a new Dragon kit that has a few extra hands and arms for varied poses. The manufacturers could also throw in a few extra heads and legs to help out.

Extra appendages in different poses is a good idea.

I have found the oppisite to be true.
Besides resin figures, I have always found it hard to find figures in relaxed positions, especially seated.

I think it is good that manufacturers make both action poses and relaxed poses, it takes care of the modelers that want to make action dioramas or relaxed dioramas

tom: there is a good set of dragon american tank riders and a new set of british tank riders coming from miniart that are seated - if you are still looking.
