I finally got what I needed to make up a diorama idea I had for a while; a group of NCO's being stopped and interrogated by MP's to make sure none are infiltrators (a panic caused by Otto Skorzeny's Operation Greif). Of course the soldiers would have the divisional and rank insignia, for visual effect. But what equipment would rear-area soldiers be carrying, either MP's or the NCO's who would be going to a meeting or a party? Thanks.

Generally, unless returning from leave, they would have their combat gear, with the possible exception of grenades.
