Hi there,
after the N`Berg Toy Fair, I ask myself the question, when it´s time for a
M 561 in 1:35 !
After the Tankograd Boock " REFORGER 1969-79 ", I feel the need to build one !!!!
What do you think, is there a chance, for the Future, that any manufacturer
will release one ?
greetings
and sorry for my poor english!

Hi Reiner,
I totally agree with you !!!
This is certain an model that needs some attention.
I have all the 3 books of Tankograd concerning the Reforger exercises and it gave me some great ideas for some models.
The first one is already made: M-728 CEV 7th army painting scheme 1977 from the 8th infrantry division.
Perhaps an indea for HobbyBoss or Trumpeter to make an Gamma Goat !

For those of us who drove, used, maintained and CURSED the goat.....we need one bad.
I would expect it in resin before plastic as I'm sure it would not be that popular and does not have a whole bunch of variants that can be made from the same molds. With that....I will take it anyway I can get it!!
Rounds Complete!!

Well, depending on your sources, Schmidt Model of Germany made one in Vacuform back in the 70's. I saw the kit, but never saw one that was built up. I agree, you loved the Goat or hated it, nothing in-between.

I forget where saw the ad, maybe in the last Military Miniatures in review, but the add said that in Miniman Productions future list was a Gama Goat.
Granted it would be resin and a little pricey, but certainly a MUCH needed subject!
If they follow through it will be GREAT news!
For a long time I've been wanting to do one or a diorama of one in either Grenada or Lebanon.

Put me on the list as well. I served in the 8th Infantry Division from 1972 - 1977 and have built up 8 wheeled and tracked vehicles from my unit, 1st Bn 2nd FA. I'd LOVE to do a Gamma Goat to complete the collection.

I would love to see a GAMMA GOAT model and also an M715 truck. I was a mechanic in the US Armry for 22 years and those are two vehicles that were in use from late 60's up to the 80"s. Some one should give them a shot for release.

Question for the experts - does any country still operate the Gama Goat, ones that were sold under some foreign military sales program?

I'm with you there as I would also love to see the M715 in 1/35 someday. I already have the 1/1 in the garage and would love to replicate it.

As of 2001 Mexico's Navy was still operating some. Not sure where others were exported to. Its the only other country I've seen pictures of them in use with. Mexico turned them into gun trucks with either an AGL or old naval mounts with 20mm cannon.
