Boooom. Now that added smoke make a really nice statement. Nice improvement.a comment from Slodder

The old question how do you make the best effect without the shredding cotton balls tric
i have used the typs from other Forum to make the Smoking gun effect

THE FIREYING EFFECT not so bad

The laste post above give me the chance to make good changes on the model thanks to the critics
but now my next problem is the techniek of smoke which one of you big indian chief can give a lesson on smoke because look at the laaste picture of my Feldkuche ( model fromTamiya seri Nr 247 ) will also be used for my next dio a sicilian scenery. Anyway i have try every thing to make the smoke but i find it still desapointing

If anyone of you might have usefull critics on that model go ahead.

With that kit you may be able to go multi media. Rail Road guys use a little smoke maker that actually makes smoke, either via electric or chemcial means.
The boxy shape of the kitchen could hide the machine that makes the smoke.

Other than that - Cotton or Steel wool are the ways I've seen to make smoke. You may try to stain it with various shade of gray wash to add some texture to it.

I've got a link to some pictures where the Halloween spiderweb stuff was used for a smoke effect. That stuff is very fine and shapable (is "shapable" a real word??)

I'll try to dig up the link.

Hey Rima....... the smoke from the field kitchen looks quite good actually. With some black or tones of grey fading, it might improve it but the basis is there. The white cotton suits the gun fire, as its small but when it gets bigger, thats when realism is needed. Most modellers take the easy way out and show the after effects rather than the the actual fire! Even the masters have not succeded in finding a better way.
