Howdy guys,

I just found this site a few days ago looking for kit reviews and love it.

I have not built any models in years, with the exception of an RC 1/16 Pershing from Tamiya.

Its about 3 years old now, I just got done putting all the detail items I knocked off driving it around back on. I think I want to repaint and redo the weathering on it though. Its sitting next to a diecast 1/72 M-26. (anyone good with RC tips, I cant get the Turret to rotate correctly)

Other then the RC tank, the one below is my first attempt at a 1/35 Pershing, I am about half done with the weathering, I need some future floor wax....

The rust does not look as heavy in person, the flash on the Kodac digital really brings out the colors. Tips guys? Don't be to brutal, its been a long time since I did this stuff.

Thanks! W.E.B Griffin is my favorite fiction writer and the Corps my favorite series. I think I have read them about once a year for the past 5 or 6 years.

Subtle weathering is best, you can always add to it.

I went out and I got a Dragon Tiger I late with Zim.... and then couldnt get my mind of the M4A3E8 Thunderbolt kit (both 1/35)so I got that one today lol.

I started the tiger, and just got to the tiny FE clamps for the tools and the carpet monster and bad eyesight monster got me.... Man those little clamps are so small!

I think I may finish the M4 before the Tiger, or do both at once, I decided on this tiger I will use as much FE as I can but not the little clamps... I can use them on the next kit.

I love they have the parascopes open on the Sherman.

Few more shots of the big and small Pershings. (The big one didnt come with the parascope covers, but the 1/35 did, I think I can make a jig and bend wire ones myself, I just need to get better at soldering...
1/16

1/16

I was going for a sloppy repaint look with the darker OD paint.

A bit more weathering on the 1/35 Pershing in these shots and the .50 mounted.

I cant seem to find the Dragon M26, I think it went out of production, maybe that means it will come back better?

hi Jon welcome to the site, your pershings look nice mate, as for dragon's older kit it is out of production, though you might find the odd one knocking around on ebay, but they should be doing a premium version sometime soon if their catalogue is to be believed of course, hell they've had the panther ersatz m-10 listed for the past four years but it has yet to appear so watch this space.
