So after a almost 10 year hiatus from building model cars, I've finally returned and decided to try my hand at some armor. I'm by no means a pro, but I've built countless models and I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.
For my first armor model, I chose DMLs version of the M4 Halftrack. The chassis is mostly complete and ready for paint. I'll post some pics tomorrow as soon as i get to the house.
Going from cars to armor seems to be a complete 180 for me, so as much advice as possible would be appreciated. I'm not concerned with 100% accuracy with this first model as just getting it completed and on to the next one with more experience.
Thanks in advance for your assistance with this as this could be a drawn out project.

Welcome as well Cole! Nice kit to start out with, have it in the build pile, hopefully will get to it soon. Looking forward to seeing some pics. It's a great site here, the folks are top notch! There are some fantastic models, but the best is the folks taking the time to share their tips! You'll be amazed, I know I am every time I surf it!

I appreciate the welcomes guys.
Sorry, still no pics, my camera is seeing some serious ebay duty at the office, and hasn't made it back to the house yet. I'm still waiting on a couple items from ebay before i get too deep into this thing. I found a jewelery supply store on ebay and ordered a 5 piece set of cross lock tweezers since those along with most everything else that i used to use have found a way of hiding from me in the past week. I also found a set of wire cutters that look a lot like the PE cutters at the hobby shop for about 5 bucks. I still need to run down a pressure regulator for my airbrush as well as another pin drill set before i make to much more progress.
A few quick questions:
I stocked up on About 40 Bottles of Model Master from a friend who bought out a hobby shop. I've read a lot about Future and i would like to try it out. Will it work good with the enamels?
Is there a certain type of Future i need to find, or just the one that says Future Floor Wax?

Hi Cole read your original post and was just wondering how your M4 Half-track was progressing
