Hi Steve,
As far as I know the set is OOP. That said I know DML packaged it with Thunderbolt a few years back (or perhaps more recently) and I'm sure you can find it as old stock in some LHS's. I'm not 100% certain, perhaps someone else can verify this?
I did a vague "Tank Crew" search on LuckyModel (results here: "Tank Crew" search ) which does show the kit being "Available". However knowing LM, this doesn't actually mean the kit is available. The search does yield a few more results which may be of interest to you though. There are quite a few crews for other US WWII AFV's which could be used for your dio. Unfortunately many of the sets are resin... Don't know if this is an issue....

Hey Steve
In my opinion the DML crew is good from the point of view of equipment, but the figures themselves tend to be a little oversized...
AS Rudi mentioned it can be difficult to find, but there are resin alternatives, although you did mention 'cheap' which is probably why he put a downer on the resin figures he found...

I understand from DML that this set:
Is going to be re-issued. They are apparently going to be making some improvements to them...

The DML set is currently available as part of the orange Series from Cyber Hobby and come with a bonus M4A4 and set of T48 tracks (probably only a 79 link run and of no use to the M4A4. These are going for about the $26 mark and are quite a bargain. They were also released with a Bonus M4A376mm and set of US 101st AB bastogne guys in the Battle of the Bulge M4A3 76mm VVSS kit.
Cheers
