So we know for a fact they are bootlegs ?

Bender, the only way you could question their illegality is if you were not familiar with the figures to begin with. We have all seen all the figures for sale by this rodent in their original format, and these are all nothing more than re pops of the authentic figures. Must break his heart to part with MSRP for the originals to copy...

Bender if they are not bootleg copies then why doesn't he say they are Bravo-6 figures? Why is selling them without the original packaging? Truth is he is a well known counterfieter, lots of people have complained to Ebay about him and nothing has been done.

It hurts the hobby in lots of ways.

Financially it hurts new companies (Especially in a recession) like Bravo-6 who are just getting off the ground.
It is also disheartening to see your hard work and research being ripped off by someone else for profit. Why bother making new figures if this A*&hole is just going to rip you off?

Also since people new to modelling are more likely to buy these bootleg copiees which apparently are really bad quality it will put them off buying any original resin figures.

Given the scale of this operation I doubt it's the work of one person.

I complained to evil bay about this last year - giving them all the info on manufacturer etc like they want and yep you guessed it - an email saying thanks and no further action taken.

I don't know the postal laws elsewhere but here in Australia in the fine print it says that it is illegal to send counterfeit items by post. So one possible solution in Australia would be to order heaps of his items and pay with Paypal - then start a dispute with both ebay and Paypal claiming the items are not genuine. Paypal will agree and order a refund on the return of the items. A letter explaining the law to paypal will result in them waiving the need to return the items and a refund will be granted. I haven't tried it but others in the discussion groups have done it with other counterfeit items.

I just wish there was some way we could warn bidders off.

Hi
The Bravo 6 items have been removed from sale & you can not search for this seller.

Hi Vladimir
I've been watching him on my ebay & today his items dissapeared. I hope that's just the start. I hope ebay will start to listen to the Real Owner to the Copyrights, & start to BAN FAKE GOODS. I hope he dont try again under a new name.

I really hope they got him! Although he'll probably escape without a fine, at least it looks like he's been stopped from trading on e-bay - for now at least...

Thanks to all who complained to e-bay - it would be great to think it was us who did this!

Hi
Check his feedback & History seems to be a Real Seller not a counterfeiter.
He looks to be OK.

I agree.

There are genuine honest sellers on ebay. I've brought figures from people thinning out their collection or just leaving the hobby, as well as from those that do sell genuine figures as a honest business.

He's legit! Although very expensive, costs about £17.00 including postage to buy 1 figure from him, got to be kidding.

Just to let you guys know, he will be back under a new name. It was the same on the anime model side. As soon as someone got busted for fakes, they change the name and start over. Remember, feedback is unimportant to them, sales are what matters. E-bay and recasters go hand in hand, along with the shipping cost pirates. Just watch, he will return under a new name, won't take long................
