HI ALL

Well I just received one of the new kits well what can I say well I will start by saying what u can build from it

Mk3 AVRE Europe 1944 to early 45 early air intakes USE C12 and C24 commanders hatch
Mk3 AVRE up armoured late Europe with late style air intakes and add on armour for panniers side doors
Mk3 AVRE Post war Europe To 1949 with add on armour
MK3 AVRE 1949 TO 1953 UK up armoured and late copular you will have to add tail and lights. and smoke dischargers for final version.

Mk3AVRE Italian campaign up armoured No Crid fittings to be used.

you can build any AVRE with or with out the crid fittings and if you wish not to add them then you can add there mud shut which were fitted on some
two types of air intakes see the versions above.

WARNING the
Late style copular is shown on instructions (have informed AFV club. )
as far as I am aware yet to be proven to me only one squadron had the suspension units bolted to the rear infantry rides on D Day that was 26 Assault squadron rest had them laying on back decks.

two new spruces L and 2xM are for the AVRE parts. a metal spring for the petard it has the interior part of the gun in the kit as well.
I have checked some photographs I have of MK 3s in Europe and 1949 and spoken to crew members and it does leave you as a modeller a lot of scope.
Yes it was not the most common but was used in service and trials and even post war.
All we wish now is a Mk4 version and that would be complete and make my day at least.

well I started to build it slowly so it be time before I finish it but its a great kit.
hope it helps ossie

Hi Ossie,

Sounds great, I am so happy to see this vehicle come out in 1/35 plastic.

Thanks for the info.

Excellent information Ossie. I knew you would be the one to inform us junior plastic cutters on all the dos and don'ts of this kit.
Thanks for it. It clears up a lot for my future build.

By the way I hope all is going well with you. Email when you get the time.
