I have just recieved my first 1-35 German figures, and they are large, far larger than I have ever worked in, on the 1-72 and smaller still 1-350, I easily get away using Revell matt 35 (a pinkish flesh colour) obviously from what I can tell on the art box, more than 1 colour has been used to paint the faces on these 1-35 soilders, although there are several flesh colour paints out there, for a normal looking face, could someone please tell me what flesh colour paint I require. Look forward to your reply.

My recipe is this using vallejo acrylics:
base flesh color is beige red
To this I add dark fleshtone (game color) for shadows with greater amounts for deeper shadows.
I add sunny flesh to the base color for the first highlight and then add pale flesh for the next highlight with straight pale flesh for the highest highlight. All these are dilutted per the tutorial under "Model Color" at the Vallejo website

Many thanks for a fast reply, I normally model in 1-350, and easily get away with Revell matt 35, obviously when I recieved my very first 1-35 soilders, I knew I was in trouble as no way could I simply paint one skin/flesh colour, on the box art, I automatically can see there was 2 possibly 3 colours used to attain the flesh, my wife has already told me off LOL because I am still building my 1-350 aircraft carrier, also at Duxford the other day I brought 1-72 Lancaster, and today my 1-35 soilders arrived, I am 51 years old and feel like a kid in a sweet shop. Thank you for the flesh colour guide, this will be very handy.
