Jim,
I notice that there is another desert fox out there. This has caused some confusion already.
The article I wrote about WWII German AFV Colours has my name (Martin Wilson) as the author, but the other Desert fox is credited. It has taken me some time to notice.
I am Desert-Fox, the other is DesertFox......confusing eh?.....
When I "click" my own name on the article I am directed to the other FOX.
Can something be done? I don't want to sound like a moaner, but I'm sure the other FOX has been getting some of my PM's.
I have asked the other gentleman politely to think about changing his call-sign, is this OK or what?

Cheers,

Martin Wilson (the original Desert Fox)

Martin,
Sorry about that. I can correct it if someone else hasn't already. As to the name change, if this other person agrees to this it is a fairly easy thing to do.

Jim,
Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm sure that the confusion will correct itself in due course. If you would be good enough to re-direct the link "martin wilson" on the article to my user, I would be grateful.

Like I say I have sent a PM to the other FOX for him to look at this thread and come to his own decision.

Cheers

Martin

hm, my options seem quiet restricted...
ok, i will chage my nick just for peace-keeping reasons.
please tell me how to accomplish that. under "my account" there is'nt such an option listed.
i assume the webmaster has to change the specific table entry in the data base by hand...

There is way to change it via an administrative page. The side-effect is the cookie on your machine. If I change your callsign and you attempt to browse the site with your existing cookie you will get a security error because the cookie has your old callsign (which won't exist anymore). So the best thing to do is to log-out and then have me make the change. Then log back in when I confirm the name has been changed.

Cheers,
Jim
