Hi Gé,
I think a direct link to the pictures would help.
TIA

Hi Olivier,
Yes perhaps it would help, but the problem is I don't know how to add a direct link to the photo's.
But still I hope that people want to seen them !!

Click the photo link in the header, ahhh, got it...
Nice CEV. I personally would appreciate some close up photos. Nice representation of the camoflauge.
One thing that I have to question is the crew's gear in the front slope of the CEV as well as the tarp on top of the dozer blade... Its positioning would limit the driver's visability as well as blocks the headlights, something that was not done in Germany for safety...
FWIW

You're smarter than I John ! I finally found the pictures. At first, I didn't notice the camo was not the MERDC pattern. I didn't know this one existed, I always thought the US Army went straight from OD to MERDC.
What kit is this Gé? I remember Verlinden doing such a conversion.

Yess.. took me a bit to figure that out as well... (g)
Nice work, though I can't qualify about the MERDC colour scheme
Which base kit, & conversion kit/drawings did you use? any WIP pics & comments?

Olivier, you'll find some info (in German ) about MASSTER camo scheme on Panzerbaer.de :

Olivier,
It is not often that an Infantryman tells a Tanker that he is smarter in the US Army... Maybe you French are indeed more "enlightened."
Actually, your post gave me the idea to click on the photos, so you also get some credit. Personally, I have a hard time believing that the sand & red-brown based camo was used in Germany... However, Ge did a great job replicating the MASSTER on his CEV.

bankmannl,
I was an Engineer Platoon Leader in the Army National Guard in the late '80s, and I had CEVs and AVLBs in my Platoon.
It's been awhile, but if I remember correctly, the hood for the M25 mask attached around the clear face plate, so the hood color should be the same all over the mask except for the clear face plate. Also, there are straps that run from the front to the back under each arm pit to hold the hood down.
An M25:
The hood on an M17 was similar:
Hope this helps...
Jeff

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the praise !!
Olivier: this model was made from the Academy M60a1/dozer blade and an old Fine Cast Models resin conversion kit for the turret ( today it's OOP ).
The attachments points for the dozer blade to the hull were not that well done, so therefore I had to add the tarp to hide them !!
Cheers,
Gé
