Today I made this simple street light for my "Wilkommen !" diorama.
I have pics to support my crappy English.
It's easy to do, and great fun :
What is needed :
- a piece of copper wire 0.8mm,
- a lead winebottle cup,
- a good looking round part of your spare box,
- a transparent piece of sprue with round top,
- a bit of fantasy.
1) Cut out a round piece out of the lead wine bottle cup, to make te base of the lamp. Cut from the centre of this circular shape to the edge and slide one edge over the other, so you get a little Chinese pointy hat :

2) Bend a piece of copper wire in the desired shape :

3) A round part to give the lamp a bit of elegance was drilled out to glue the copper wire :

4) After assembling the different parts, this is what you get :

5) Test fitting in the wall where it will be attached :

6) First a layer of acrylic primer, followed by a surface primer more local structure primer :

7) The base colors I used (white, brown, black, to break the brightness of the white) :

8) Use of a thin layer matt white, then a local use of semi gloss white, finishing with glossy white :

9) Oil paint washes to give it an old, weathered look, completed with rusty tones :

10) Attached to the house corner of my diorama :

Hope this can be useful for some modellers, greetz Guy.
