Hello----I am fairly new to armor, like the site. I am about to start an ESCI 1/72 M4A1 Sherman from ETO and need some help. My main question is on the engine and engine compartment. I have heard the engine compartment was white? Also what colors would the Continental radial engine have been? Thanks---John

John-interior was white, radial engine I did was gloss black cylinders, steel exhaust ring, flat black ring that mounts to bulkhead near crew compartment, black center with copper tubes on ring in front of cylinders, and bracket closest to rear of tank body is white with flat black details in center---HTH

Not saying this is the case, but I post on many forums (Jeep, gun, WW2 Flight sim, now here etc) and have seen some weird stuff.
It is fairly common to have posters make two accounts and then have conversations with themselves or even flame wars to spark attention. I also moderate a forum at work and have seen the same thing there.
Now on the subject, an aircraft radial that was air cooled would have the cylinders in natural metal. Paint would impair cooling I would think.
