What kind of advice are you looking for? I've also seen the movie as I'm sure a bunch has. There are a lot of aspects to a diorama and both armies let alone vegetation, do you need info on everything or just specific Items?

Go to the home page and click on “MORE” where it says “More Features” in the Features section.
That takes you to the Homepage Features section. Click on Dioramas and on that page click on an item under “By Article Type” Look around this area for ideas and how to’s on just about everything.
If you need special guidance on anything there then just ask away. Almost every question you may have will be there, concerning what you might want to construct.
Good luck on your diorama,
Bob

Loved that movie as a kid, he inspired me to join the Army as soon as I could sign my name. The Germans wore M1916 Helmets in that instead of the more usual M35/M40/M42's and Theatrical breast adlers with large Swastikas.
Good job, Got me thinking about that AFV club M10 I've got kicking around. Doesnt someone make an Audie Figurine?

Matt-- marvelous fellow to commemorate in a dio. The landscape looks great. He made a fantastic movie on his time in the Army. If you watch several of the close combat engagements you can see him count before he throws a grenade. In the one from Sicily, he fires on the retreating Germans with his M-1 and while maitain his sight on the horizon places his hand over the bolt of the M-1 to see if it blew back signifying he fired his last round. Hollywood guys can never do that....the guy was incredible.

You're using two accounts aren't you. Better stop or you might get in trouble.
As for the diorama; for grassed areas such as this you need to show a lot more growth. At the moments it looks like a mowed golf course.
The log pile does not look realistic, think about how it got there... the Germans would not have let such cover exist in their field of fire. When adding heavy elements to a diorama, make sure you build up the earth around them so it doesn't look like they were just dropped there. Also, there is a lot of 'dead' space on this diorama where there is no storyline. Try and condense the scenes and draw the viewer to the storyline without distractions.
Nice try though, I hope you will take my comments in good spirit. Check out the dioramas Feature section on the site for tips. Also, have a look at Historicus Forma for figure painting guides.

Since you are asking for critique, I would cut the base by 1/3 easily. Also, as Chas commented, none of your heavy elements show weight and the overall groundwork looks like a golf course. I suggest you go back and take a look at the movie. I not being mean, I'm just trying to offer some advice to help you improve on your next project.

Matthew,
I would like to take you at your word. But unfortunately for you we track IP addresses on each post and while there are 2 different ones for each of yours and Ethan's posts, you both have used the same IP repeatedly (not just when he 'first signed up'). In fact when he first posted it was a different IP address than your previous one.
Long story short, if you are the same person stop doing it and you'll get a second chance. If you are two different people stop posting from the same IP or you will both be banned.
Thanks,
Jim
