Hi guys,

I'm in the process of painting Dragon nr.3533 ( M1a1 Abrams Badgad 2003 ) and in the kit there are several flexible vinyl packpacks, rucksacks and so on.
Problem is that the paint on it won't dry !!
I first applied a primer on it ( this dried very well ) and then put paint on it to camouflage them.
As i said the paint will not dry, it keeps sticky and can be rubbed of very easily !
Does some one has a way to speed things up, how to dry them ?

Cheers,

Gé Hovens

What kind of paint? What kind of primer? How long have you waited for it to dry? Did you wash them first? Etc., etc., etc....

We need a little more detail to make an assessment.

Paint these with acrylics. Tamiya works ok (have done it).

I don't know why they moulded these in vinyl, they would have been better in regular styrene. The vinyl has cruddy flow marks. Regular paint would have stuck better to styrene and the mould seams would have been infinitely easier to clean up...

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the tip !
I normally use Humbrol enemal, but now it seems I have to buy some Tamiya Acrylics from the LHS.
Well try it this weekend !

Cheers,
