I love these paints but am having trouble getting a consistent mix to airbrush these paints. I am using the model colour line and not really all that interested in their air colours. any suggestions?

Hello Godfather
I actually asked this self same question in the General Modeling forum last week (being a Newbie, I hadn't spotted the Painting forum... Doh!) because I've been having similar troubles. I didn't go for the airbrush-ready paints either, because there isn't a very wide range of colours.
I've been having a real battle finding the balance between head clogging and a splattering of neat paint. I got several really helpful replies, but I haven't had a chance to do any experiments yet because I'm going flat out trying to get a model ready for the Battle of Britain campaign.
The main advice seems to be "you think you've shaken the bottle enough - carry on for another 5 minutes!"
I've tried every thinners I can (cellulose (laquer) seems to work best so far - but it dries quickly - and it may help with paint adhesion), but the guys who are having success seem to be using distilled water. I just hope it not something to do with air pressure, because I don't have a regulator.
Good luck with Vallejo - I'd be keen to hear if you get it sussed.
All the best
Rowan

To airbrush Vallejo paints I use the Model Air line and for thinner I use destiled water. I have no problems using this paint.

Any clogging problems with Vallejo? Do you add anything to slow the drying?
