Hi guys and/or gals. Does DML's 1:72 Panther G (kit number 7206) have die cast parts?

I really want a Panther, but I really don't want to work with die cast just yet (bits of me always end up attached to the model when superglue is involved)

Thanks for your attention!

Yes, all the early Dragon kits have the diecast metal upper and lower hull. The Panthers are particularly frustrating because the hulls will not mate without some filing of the metal. Also the tracks are too tight and since all the suspension component mounting points are metal, you cannot cut off the idler wheel or sprocket mount and move it inward to give the tracks some slack.

I believe their Panther line labeled "Armor Pro" are the ones with plastic hulls. Their Panther kits 7205, 7206, 7207, 7230, all came with the diecast hulls. 7252 was the Panther with the plastic hull.

Thanks a lot mate. I might invest in a DML Jagdtiger or a Trumpeter Jagdpanther instead because the LHS hasn't got many of the newer DML kits without the diecast parts

Thanks mate. I've heard about the Zimmerited Panther, the only problem is that my choice of kits is limited to what my LHS has (don't have a credit card yet), and they haven't restocked DML kits in ages. Hopefully this will mean they will restock in the near future though.
