I've posted pictures of the M1064 mortar carrier on pages 8-9 of my motor pool album: M1064. There are top and front views of the M113A3 on pages 7-8 and a couple of HEMTT cargo bed photos on page 9. Enjoy.

Upon further review...

Wow! Rob, you did it again. Those are incredible pics. I will definitely be able to use these. I am always impressed with what you can see when another modeller takes reference photos. Something about that modeller's eye. Thanks a pile.

Two questions for you:

1. On the first PC, above the trim vane, is some flat pieces or a folded piece of something. Any idea what that is?

2. Your 1064 is not an A3. Was it converted from a 106, or was it built that way? Do you know if the upper hatch is the original M106 size, or is it the larger M1064 sized one?

As always, really appreciate the help.

Unsure, I will take a look and see what it is/does. My best guess is some type of guard to erect to keep water out of the engine intake.

You are right that the M1064 is an A2 inside. This was probably the first time I had been inside this particular vehicle. I just assumed it was an A3, but knew it was an A2 when I saw the laterals. I am unsure if the hatch size is bigger, I do not have an M106A2 to compare it too. I do know that the vehicle is brand new (or brand new rebuild) and has never been used operationally. My guess would be that it is bigger.
