Is this old news or new? I was browsing AFV C's catalogue a few days ago and guess what I saw? A hex turret (sharp edged) boxart...
I'm looking forward to their 42 model with interior, not that I'm keen on the insides, but heck the T-34 is a revolutionary design... and 42 model is my top favorite of T-34s (Thanks to tamiya boxart during my younger days)...
However, I didn't know they already have the hex version in the works! I'd say bring it on too!
Having said that, do you think AFV Club is planning to release workable tracks for the T-34 too?? I hope they do - if it's in line with their M-41, M2, Centurion tracks... Just click them away!...

Lawence, I know they promised fact 112 "1942" model with interior. Never heard anything about a hex turret version. Would be nice, as Dragon kit is a little bit disappointing. Do you have more info - links, scan???

Hi Dmitry,
The Catalogue did not belong to me, so sorry that I don't have an image of it. If you're curious to know it's in the 2009 edition. :-) Well, hopefully the 42 brings success when it's released. Then we'll be sure that the 43 version will surely come!
Another favourite of mine is the URALMASH turret - so far only Tamiya has it! That one needs to be done soon.
What do you think of Dragon's STZ version? One with plenty of slogan on the turret and marked under Cyberhobby? I like the crazy mantlet!

Hopefully you are correct.
The Cyber Hobby 1942 STZ model is a little screwed up with the back hull plate not matching up to the upper hull. It required a bit of skill to build and it is probably easier to scratch build the hull your self. The turret is usable. Wheels/tracks are excellent.
HTH, Dmitry

ChTZ - yes, I don't know why "URALMASH" kept popping up in my head when that version's being refered to. It's been a while that I've lost touch with T-34s! I'm glad there are several STZ turrets in the market now (be it plastic or resin). Too bad about the Dragon's hull - or else, it would be perfect.
