Hi there
Not really sure where this would posting would fit all proper like, but wanted to get the right people looking at it!
I am planning a sculpt of FSJ during the surrender at Monte Cassino and was wondering who has specific uniform details or archive photos of such or even to point me in the right direction on the www?
I don't delve into German things much at all, so have no preconceived notions about any part of this request, but any photos from Cassino would be great as I have maybe two, and especially what type of uniform components would be worn.
A big thanks for any assistance
Brad

Brad,
Have a look at the FSJ Concord book I sent you - pages 36-39 cover Italy, including 2 pictures of paras captured by Kiwis. Good shots of dejected Paras wearing Model 2 & 3 smocks and tropical (I think from the very quick look) trousers.
I've another book I should have given you the last time which may be of interest, I'd prefer not to bring it with tomorrow though - can I give it to you Sunday?

Brad,
Check out the Bundesarchiv, there is a good number of close-up pictures of both German and Italien paras during Monte Cassino siege. Searchable site is here:
http://www.bild.bundesarchiv.de/
And of course, you can get bigger pictures (although without the search) via Wikipedia:

Brad
Concord's book "The Fall of Monte Cassino" (6524) has nearly half its volume taken up with photos of German troops in action in that battle, the majority of whom are Fallschirmjaeger.
If you need any more info, drop me a PM
Regards
Rob
