The figures in the set are wearing 3-color DCUs. The main color is sand, with larger khaki-green blotches, and brown shadow squiggles around them. Their IBA vests should be either woodland camo or a sandy-tan color called Coyote Brown. For the Khaki-green, Testors MM Radome Tan is close, I mix my own though. The sand and brown are just that; sand and brown, nothing special. For Coyote Brown, MM Field Drab is pretty close.

bad news i painted the figs wrong and then i out them in a bowl of laquer thinner and they came out as blobs of plastic

Why lacquer thinners though? As in what made you think to strip them using this abrasive type of thinner?

i was trying every type of thinner or windex and oven cleaner to see what worked and then i got curious and used laquer thinner ,that blaster stuff!

The oven cleaner should have worked - did you leave it for 24hrs?
I've never had a problem with oven cleaner stripping paint from metal, resin or plastic.
