Ray
If I remember correctly you are new to airbrushing is that right? My PC was the first model I had even done where I actually built the whole model and then painted it and that made the three colour camo harder that usual. Ordinarily I would build my kit is small sub sections and attach it together after paint and I may do that again. Without all the stuff in the way you can use paper masks that really help get those tight edges between colours so I used a combination of lower pressure, as fine a tip (on the air brush) as I had to define the edges and then replaced the fine tip with a medium and went back to fill in the bigger voids.
I look forward to your green paint on, it'll be really coming together now. What colour are you using for green?
Best of luck
Bill

Hey mate.
I single action airbrushed a lot of cam on aircraft when i was a kid, but ive dusted off the hobby after a long break and ive got a double action now. Im in the same boat as you were with your PC, this is the first one ive done with it completely built before paint. Ive already decided that when i get back onto the two detailed ASLAV's I'll leave a lot of the small parts off, spray the base cam pattern, then attach and paint the detail with a brush.
This one was built for the purpose of experimentation so i could avoid destroying the other ones. Im using a combination of the blue-tac method and masking tape to do the cam on this. The really tight spots im just free handing. So far so good i think, just some minor errors to be fixed. I cant seem to stop the Airbrush splattering at the moment, but im slowly learning.
The green im using is the mix from your PC, although i added a touch more yellow to it. I have to thank you for posting up your PC build details, you have certainly helped me cut down on lots of guess work and paint mixing.

What a difference the green and the natural light makes. The tan looks like the pinkish colour I have een in many photos. It is going to be a pain in the butt painting all the tools attached but then again you have some pretty amazing hand eye abilities judging from the interiors of the other two.
Bring on the Black and it'll change it all over again.
Great progress.

Got the NATO Black and some small detail painting done. Its not actually this bright, its the camera/light. Also there are some small errors that still need to be fixed. More Pics tomorrow when the light is better.

Fine job, looks really sharp. Looking back to the beginning of this thread I noticed that Trump did the propeller guards and front light bush guards in styrene, pretty good casting I'd say. You used the MH resin hubs, are the kit ones bad or wrong?
I look forward to your weathering and final gear loadout, still waiting for the kits in North America.

Hi Ray, really great job on it mate!
By the way, if you see more of that Spray Suede from White Knight, get it. Went to half dozen stores today to get some and they all told me its no longer being produced.
