This is just a thought I had and I wanted to see if it would be a possibility or not.
Back in 2006 Staff_Jim had a video review for Custom Dioramics Village Corner Arch Ruin. I thought the video was a good idea.
So I have been wondering what the possibility would be of having some videos available here on the site that would walk people through some of the basic modeling concepts. I am mainly thinking about applying washes, weathering, dry brushing and other such things. I am definitely a "show me" type of person and watching someone else do something is much more helpful than reading about how to do something.
There are some amazing finished kits shown here and I would like to watch how the modeler was able to accomplish the final project.
I figured that most of the videos wouldn't have to be too long.
I don't know if this has been suggested before or not. I was just wondering if it would be possible.
Thanks,
HARV

I have integrated videos in my recent reviews and my feature on airbrushes and on dechroming car parts.
The feedback has been positive and the structure is there on the site. The problem/delay in everyone jumping on board is the equipment and software necessary. Not everyone has a video camera (or the raw storage if your still camera does video too). Plus the video editing software necessary to cut and edit a video is another requirement.

I've made a few slide show style vidoes of reviews. So far people have responded well. I am planning on full fledged video review on a simple subject.
I use You-tube to host them and stream them.
There are so many possibilities on vidoes and other tools to use for the site. All a person needs is time, software, and more time to work them out. Maybe a video camera as well.
