Jiri, I'd really like to see this as I am also planning the same project for a 4 CMBG ambulance.

I only have a couple "in action" photos, but I haven;t been able to upload them yet. In the meantime, here is an excellent reference provided by the great guys at panzer-model:

Dear Greame,
thanks a lot for your reply. I know this site. Actually there are quite a lot of close-up pictures available, but unfortunately almost none from field.

4CMBG??? ...does it mean Canadians use the UNIMOG U1300 as well? Do you have some pictures and would you be so kind to share? I am really interested.

Btw: Do you know this publisher: http://www.platforms-mil.de

Regards

Jiri

Hi Jiri,

I will try and track them down. Unfortunatley, there are not many photos when Canada was in Germany (pre-digital camera era).

Yes, Canada used the Unimog ambulance, but we did not bring them back when Canadian Forces were repatriated. We also left behind our Faun tank transporters, MAN 15 tons 8x8, and some HEMMET wreckers. We replaced the Unimog Amb with the Western Star (Iveco) LSVW version.

Hi Jiri

You might want to look over this guy's build log on this site. He also has a pic of one with the anti glare screens on the windscreens while parked up on location.
