I have just learned how to post photos on the site. This is my first successful attempt. It's a rear view of a Mobile SAM launcher at the Artillery Museum in St. Petersburg. Thanks to those who helped me learn how to post photos. You CAN teach an old dog a new trick.

Well done!
Do you have some more pictures taken over the artillery museum?
Cheers

Thanks for the interest. Here are a few more. You can also go to my gallery, there are some there. I took all of these in 2006 in St. Petersburg. The museum is a massive place, and all of these large displays are out front. They make up the central entrance to the "park." Inside are cannon and firearms from the Napoleonic Wars forward, as well as a lot of art, etc. I have some pictures of the paintings of some battles. Anyway, here they are, and let me know how you like them:

If you can identify any of these, please do. Armor is not something I am very familiar with, and I can use some help. enjoy them, and Thanks, Matt

The first one is not a SAM. Itīs a "Luna" surface-to-surface-rocket.
The gun inside the hall looks like a 85mm flak; the vehicles outside: "SA-6 Gainful" (with 3 rockets), and in the background a "SA-4 Ganef" with 2 big missiles. (NATO-names)
The one with the radar is an "SA-15 Gauntlet", also called "Tor".
The picture underneath shows a WW2 B-4 howitzer. The next one is a "ZSU-23-4 Shilka" flak and the other looks like a T-80 tank.
I hope, this helps.
Iīm looking for photos from other museums, but thats not military. ;-)
