Good to see you back in action again Henk.
I like what you´ve done so far with the truck.

Well, it's been a while... (ahum), but a pm got me back to this. I did finish this kit, and will try to get some pictures up. To power phrase in the end, this kit is a beauty, and following the instructions will get you a cracking model. I should do another one, as I really liked this one. One reason I liked it so much, is that it has so many options, including civilian versions. One day, when I have some time, I'll get back in the seat. Just have to much other business going on in my life.

Dave,
if I had a scanner, I would be happy to do so. but unfortunately, my scanner has refused to co-operate with my computer since I bought this one..
still, if you PM me your adres, I'm sure that the postman can deliver the originals to your door as sson as I'm finished with them. As a matter of fact, I am finished with the instructions, I just need a moment to update this blog... .

Beautiful work on the engine. Also I can recommend heavy vehicle modeling.

Hi Henk,
This brings back good memories. Did a conversion with 4500 for the Steel Wheels campaign some 3 years ago. Was a first time Zvezda build. Very good detail and a joy to build.
Will be following and I copy Michael, building trucks is big fun.
Kind regards,
Robert Jan

Though I put the question elsewhere as well, I guess here I might meet more people who know:
(And, yes! I know this is an old lead).
Being busy with this truck (how did yours end, Henk?) I want to solve the missing decals for the rear with Verlinden’s rub-off ones.
But......
Where these trucks part of Tiger tank units?
If so, what was the uniform of the truck drivers? The Panzertruppenschwarz (black) or did they wear the ‘normal’. Infantry like uniforms?
And if they wore the green ones was the piping of the shoulder patches than blue?
Last, but not least, with ET wheels and the voyager etch set this is really becoming a super nice truck which certainly not fulfills the negative comments about Zvesda: highly detailed (even without the After Sales parts) and a perfect fit of the parts. So, if you have one in your stash just get it out and start. Your collection will have a nice workhorse in their mids.

Only armor vehicle crew were authorised the black Panzer uniforms. Everyone else wore standard issue uniforms. Some panzergrenadier divisions had field grey Panzer jackets issued to all personnel but not Tiger units. Besides you're not going to give an elite uniform to a truck driver! Though it could be a tank crewman on a supply detail.

Thanks! Uniform is clear now.
Remains the piping? Pink or blue...
And were these trucks in the organisation of a Tiger unit?

My impulse would be to do them blue for the transport branch. I tend to limit pink to actual tank crews.
But I'm not yet an expert.
