i am designing a dio in my head. i want to use some of the airborne troops i have. i dont have enough of them, but i cant really afford to buy more airborne soldiers right now, but i have other us soldiers (non airborne) i can use. i want it to be accurate, so if the airborne troops wouldnt fight with regular troops then i wont put them together.
would the airborne troops fight with regular soldiers
also, did the airborne troops do any fighting in berlin or any of the german cities?
please see my second post (3rd post down) for another question

No Britsh or American troops fought in Berlin. Soviet Airborne might have, naturally Fallschirmjaeger may have as well. There were no large western allied drops on any major city, there was some urban fighting, for example at Arnhem, Nijmegan, and Carentan. As fo mixing troops, there may have been some, on a small unit level, as Airborne drops in Sicily and of course Normandy were very scattered. In addition,I believe US Glider troops in Normandy wore standard uniforms. Bear in mind though, despite the scattering, units tended to reform as quickly as possible, so mixing would be the exception rather than the rule, even with glider troops and paratroopers.

The Ardennes Offensive, specifically Bastogne, saw the 101st Airborne Division reinforced by US armoured divisions.

this is the building i ordered. to me, this looks like a german style building. is that accurate, or did other countries that the airborne fought in have buildings that were this style. i would really like to use airborne figures, but if it wouldnt be accurate, then i am not using my airborne figures with it

In my opinion, that particular building is perfectly fine for any large(r) city in northern half (for lack of better term) of Europe - countries like France, Holland, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia and even Russia. I may not be the perfect fit for the southern part - countries like Italy, Spain or Greece - but I can be wrong here. Try Google image search to get an idea about a particular city or region during that period of time in terms of architecture.
I was also about to say, that for Bastogne (as Rudi suggested) it may be too tall, but it would probably work as well:

according to the person who created the building, it was based off of a building in berlin. i have decided i am going to toss in a tank of some kind and use regular GI's instead of airborne.
now which tank to use, i have a marder 3, a stug 3, maybe a sherman and some others. how to decide

If you're being specific about Berlin then no US troops took part in the fighting there only Soviets. Aachen would be a good choice.

If you are doing Americans, remember, no Americans fought in Berlin. You can do other German locales, that building might even work for Remagen or Aachen, just not an American action in Berlin
