Was whining on M-L about the M1A2. I've finally taken my M1A2 kit out of the box for a real close look. One of the things that jumped out at me was the back deck is molded separately. The engine bay has walls so it looks like they intend to give you the option of installing an aftermarket engine.
They missed the mark with the engine bay and back deck in several spots.
1. The four grills molded on the back of the upper hull should be connected to the back deck instead of being molded to the upper hull.
2. They connected part of the "bitch plate" (sorry for the language, we call it this because it is one to get back in place) to the back deck and left a piece of it still on the hull.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a great Abrams kit, but displaying one with the back deck off and my Kirin engine in place won't be just a drop fit.
