The Howitzer look nice Jim, do youhave any photos of the figures or are the not included?
The howitzer would go nice with What MB paratroopers when they are released

Great news indeed Jim.
Forgive my ignorance (it is far to early, and I only had one cuppa so far ), but can this Howitzer be used/converted for the British Airborne? I know that that the 1st Division had Howitzers at Oosterbeek, but a resin diorama is not a financial proposition at the moment.

Henk, as far as I know, it can be used for British Airborne. The figures are NOT (as far as i'm aware) included...

It's about time a 1/35 75mm Pack Howitzer came out in plastic. All I remember is a metal model that Tamiya came out with a long time ago.

Their artwork is by Vincent Wai who also works for Dragon. Does anyone know if there is any connection between Vision and DML? The 75mm Pack would be a great addition to the DML Halftrack....

Vincent Wai also does box art for Trumpeter. I wonder what Hiroshi makes of that.

Vincent doesn't (as far as i'm aware) do any work for DML. His artwork is is seen on both Trumpeter and HobbyBoss models.
I can assure you there is NO connection whatsoever with DML. It will come out later on but we've been asked to keep it 'discreet' for the moment.

I think they have two winning models subject wise.
The Ba-64 will make a lot of Soviet models happy --- depending on if they got the angles and dangles correct. A complete interior would be icing on the cake.

Wow - I was just thinking yesterday that I sure would like to get my hands on a couple 75mm Pack Howitzers for a vignette I have planned. Maybe I have to start thinking of more kits more often . I hope they release this one soon.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi
The metal kit from Tamiya is a very nice kit if you can get hold of it.
I wish it was out now. I'm building an old resin 1 by AEF for the Airborne campaign.
It's a terrible old kit badly warped & full of air holes.
Hurry up Vision Models as I Could do with a 2nd kit as I've a set of Marines from ADV which would go nicely with it.
Very nice looking kit.

I am very happy to see this release. Along with the Dragon 105mm howitzer, this makes two more off my wish list. Maybe I should keep hoping for that 90mm AA gun. A plastic crew would make this a very sweet deal.

Before the silly rumors start over the supposed links to other manufacturers (already started courtesy of the Incredible-Blogging-Man) Vision has nothing to do with Trumpeter nor is it some mysterious subsidiary of DML.

Thanks for the news Jim.
Neither are subjects that particularly appeal to me, but this shows a lot of promise for subjects that haven't been done in plastic (yet)
IIRC Vincent was the brains and talent behind Alpha Image I remember the Anglo-Zulu War prints and figures in particular.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Dragon announce a T-30 half track ( mounting the 75mm howitzer ) before too long...
Which probably means Dragon will then release the howitzer from the half track with a set of sprues for the wheels and trails.
Happy days...

Finally a decent BA-64? (says a victim of the Karo-As and AER ones) - nice to see that Vince isn't afraid to use Tamiya figures in his boxart

Doing the BA-64 is a pretty brave step so, fingers crossed that Vision decide to do the other Soviet Armored Cars...
