Jimmy-- the background material is stunning! How did you get the rust effect on the tracks and other items?
Looks good.
Thanks

hello DJ and Pawel, the background is my guitar case:D
Dj the rust fx is basically on the tank, A blue filter, then a wash of vietnam earth mig pigments, and whist it was wet i dabbed some dry pigment at the top of Eg the turret, and wiped it downwards with a wide ish brush
the little exhaust things were painted vallejo saddle brown, and dabbed vietnam earth pigment , standard rust pigment, and smoke black,
for the tracks, - nato black, industrial city earth mig pigment wash, then a more complete vietnam earth mig pigment wash over the tracks finished with a soft graphite stick for the worn metal
all the best
james

haha, apologies i'm at my girlfreinds house,
Staff_jim, you can check the ip's if you want, i am not doubel accounting, just made a mistake:D

Nice work, though the track bottoms could perhaps use a little more wear to show this thing is an active tank. But overall very subtle and restrained, which I like a lot.

Remember, the road wheels were steel rimmed, so the wear surfaces on the inside face of the tracks would be bright steel unless the tank has been sitting outdoors out of service for a long time. Also, a black wash on the engine deck screens followed by a dry brushing with the base color will give depth to them, since you've opted not to go the photoetch route.
