Hi just a quick post to inform you guys who like to put name plates on your dio bases then this might be of interest to you, There is a guy on Ebay called Charlie from Devon who will engrave upto 3 lines of 30 characters onto a gold or silver anodized aluminium plate which is 50mm X 16mm. They are great quality and value at £1.10 each and 70p postage whether you buy 1 or 10.
His ebay name is Hao5om.

I thought there was an on going thread about name plates. I can't find it, but I could have sworn there was one in Dioramas or BST.

I believe the thread you are talking about slodder is by Chas Young, who i have purchased 4 name plates from, which have all been excellent, he will do any size, but you should talk to him about it
