Hi
Great model making and painting. Watched your progress photos on the Alpine figure and enjoyed it. I think it turned out looking really good.

Sorry, but I don't like the base with the tank hanging as it does. I think it does nothing for the composition, in fact it distracts the eye away from the model and figure to see this "balancing act". It neither adds dynamics or focus to the end result in my opinion.

Otherwise, as I said excellent model making and figure work, and the groundwork looks good just there should be more of it

great job. I like the way it hangs over the base, lets your imagination go farther. nice paint job too.

Right for me! Love the panzer on the edge..
The groundwork look good too but a close up would be apreciated, if you can.
The only matter for me is the fence, maybe a bit more of weathering on it? When the wood is unpainted, outside, it turns greyish.
Cheers.

Great job!
I really like the figure, the tank and the grass. These all look splendid!
I like the use of decals on te base too.
The idea with the overhanging tank is different and not everybody's taste. I woud go for a larger base and less overhang, but that's my opinion....
Just one small remark regarding the fence. It is well build, but could use some weathering/ageing. Maybe give it a coat of old and chipping paint?

Thanks gay's.
The strange position of the tank will seem to Someone. But I so more like. On a fence. I think later подстарю it.

Hi Peter. I like this vignette a lot.
My heart likes the movement ... the tank overlapping the edge, but my head agrees with Alan ..... feels like "I didn´t have an appropriate base available, so used this one anyway".
Thats aside, everything else looks really nice ... great painting skills on the figure, tank and base. The grass looks great.
With your painting skills, I think you should paint and weather the fence though. The grooves/corn (or whatever its called) is way too big and noticeable for this scale, and too clean to be realistic, especially as it has some missing/damaged posts.

Superb work!

I especially like the figure, since his pose holding and firing his rifle looks realistic and in-scale.

I echo the others comments about the weathering of the wood of the fence, and will add that you could even add rust stains down the wood from the nails. Maybe a few bullets holes, too.

Personally, I too am distracted SLIGHTLY by the Pz.Kpfw.III overhanging the base at both ends, making it a "balancing act". I suggest that if you were to overhang just the front of the tank, it would convey movement and suggest more of an action scene. Does this make sense?

Still, you have created a very well done diorama!

Peter, excellent finish on the fig and the tank, nice groundwork and presentation. While the small base is not everyone's taste, it works for you and you are the one that has to really like the end product. There is a large debate going on right now over on Track-Links about the "rights and wrongs" on diorama building. The end of that discussion should be "to each his own". I like what you have done and it is very well executed, You have skill and talent and you are more than welcome to be here. Please post more of your work as I enjoy what you're doing!
Best regards, Ed

Hi Frank.
Thanks. I will agree with you. I should pay attention to my work still. I will begin with a fence. I will try to give to it an old kind.

Peter.

The figure colours are fine, as German uniforms tended to vary throughout the war, covering light browns to blue-greys.

I like the dramatic position. I think it works on this particular one. The way you have both sides over the edge is what makes it work.
Detail is great, the fence update is really nice.
One comment would be that the turret is a bit clean. With all the mud and dirt that gets kicked up I would think there would be a bit more dust. I'd hit the turrent with a coat of pastels or a quick light spray of 'buff/dust'.

Peter,

The fence looks much better!

This is one of the best dioramas I've ever seen that conveys action and drama with so little content!! Very artfully arranged.

EXCELLENT WORK!
