In a recent thread, several people were commenting on the high prices being asked form some on-line retailers. Here's one to check out (and they are one of our site advertisers as well!)

$29.85 + Postage seems a LOT better than some of the other prices!

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the info, that's UK £20.70 plus post.

Hannant's have it listed at £26.99 and the Bantam at £15.99.

Although the Plastic Model Store is Cheaper by the time you add the postage and possible Customs duty, Hannant's would look the safest route. Can't find it listed else where UK side yet.

Good new for those in the US though.

Creative Models have it listed on the none trade side for the same price.

They are as I understand it UK distributors for Miniart, so they are probably supplying Hannants and anyone else for that matter.

I can't see any retailer in fairness being able to reduce it down to £20 in the UK after initially buying it from Creative at trade. £7.00 would seem to my way of thinking, most if not all of the profit on the model. That's not to knock Creative Models in any way, they are obviously paying a certain price from Miniart and in turn need to make a profit.

Lucky old US buyers.

Plastic Models is based in Ukraine which might affect any Customs & Excise problems?

Hi Jim,

while I found the price HLJ are asking way too steep, I think I should be able to stretch to this. I'll have one now. Unless of course the shipping is $70 or something.

Cheers,
