Hi Ted,
Always good to see a build review. Every thing I've read about the AFV Churchill is positive. I'm looking forward to the release of this kit.
I will certainly build a Mk III AVRE, but also a Mk IV with the Resicast Conversion, although I may just use a gun tank for that.
For those who might want a Mk IV then have a read here.

It's truely excellent that this AVRE is available to a much wider audience. I can't praise AFV Club enough for not only giving uis the New Mk III gun tank but also what looks like an excellent AVRE Mk III.

You're prayers for a different variant may be answered sooner than you think!

Curiously enough, I have found ONE photo of the AVRE Mk. III in Normandy. So, AFV Club have been absolutely correct in two of their decal choices...

Hi Jim:
Can I ask where you found that photo? I've got this kit (along with Resicast's deep wading gear) and am eager to build it, but haven't seen any photos of Mark III AVREs in Normandy (which is what I'd like to build).
Cheers and thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
Here you go. The first is a Mk IV followed by 2 Mk IIIs.

I wonder how long before the AM kits arrive for the "Funnies" Bobbins, Fascine racks, mine plows, and all the rest!

Hi Alan:
That's great - thank you very much. I'll definitely be building this one as soon as I'm done my Bronco Staghound (which will be this weekend, since it's going to the AMPS show in Maryland this weekend).
Cheers and thanks again,
Scott
