As my MUTT sloooowly approaches completion I'm working on detailing the radio. I searched Armorama for info on radios and found a link to a site with EXACTLY the right image of the radio included in the Tamya M151A2 TOW kit...that is the good news!
Now I am confronting my ignorance (an all too common situation). Could someone please tell me where the antenna and mike connections are on this beast. And any other useful info that I may use to detail this puppy!
THANKS!
Jim

Hand mike would hook up to the J-box in this set up. It is the connector that is underneath the rack in silver and blue. The hand mike can also hook to one of the twin ports in the upper right hand corner under that dumbell-shaped dust cover. Antenna would hook up to the back of the tall smaller box. The mount directly under the short thick cable is where a whip antenna would mount if this was in the man-pack mode. The cable connects the radio antenna to the amplifier. The knob with the many white numbers around it adjusts the radio frequency to the antenna matching unit.
Been a while since I've messed with VRC 12 series radios, but I think that's right.

Sir Sabot--is correct. What you are looking at is an AN/GRC 160/64. Seeme to me that it is a 160 if you have the ground dismount kit and a 64 if you do not. The handset connects to one of the outcrops on the radio face.
