Finally got this one painted up and weathered, the kit is very good and builds well, i used an Eduard PE set mainly for the grills and fuel tank straps although they needed to be corrected for this vehicle on top of that i added a little stowage etc, i painted it as usual with Tamiya acrylics and weathered it with oils and pigments, i am having a tough time with taking pics lately these were the best i could manage i am probably going to purchase a new camera this weekend, anyway here it is as usual thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

Hey Ron,
Great job as usual !!!
I love the little details like the rolled tarp under the spare tracks and the un-ditching log and chain on the rear engine deck.
Cheers

Excellent Ron. Great weathering. The log on the right hand side, could do with some straps or ties of some kind. Otherwise perfect.

You did a great job on this old kit! The weathering is very nice and the wood is a very cool addition.

Fabulous work as always Ron. Cheers to another great "Red" model.
However, it just shames me into having to finish that SU-100 I have been trying to finsih for how long now...?
Now, do you happen to have any in progress shots? The one aspect of your owrk that I cannot seem to grasp is your work with the pigments/dry powder. I have many similar powders, but I do not seem to apply them correctly without either a. washing the whole vehicle out or b. hardly being able to see what I put on. So if you have any shots showing not only what you use specifically (both brand of powder but also brush type), but maybe how you put it on (both wet and dry) before you clean it up (a lot of your notes say that you apply a lot of powder and then clean it off...what does the model look like before you clean it off and what size brush do you use)?
Questions we all want answered so we can do just as well as you...

Oh, and any help on going from the brown color of the tracks to the nice dirt encrusted final product would be LOVELY.
I have to admit that the "shadowed steel" is a fabulous product. Excellent recomendation I have been using for a while.
