Hi All,
I know this may be a dumb question but ...
What is the best order to add mud?
Add mud the attach the running gear or vice versa?

This will my first Armour build in God knows how long, its another time filler while I regain my motovation for the P47 GB
I've just completed a modified 1/16 tamiya Tank commander (adding wire etc to radail engines and wheel wells sure does sap my motovation)

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Well, personally, I would attach the running gear and then apply the mud, as would actually occur in real life.

Just a thought...

Hey Chris I'd agree with Rob generally, but in some cases it is not possible to place mud later namely some areas on the hull tub behind the running gear. If the running gear is not in place, I'd add some mud there and maybe on the sides of the bogey housings (what sort of tank is it?) and then attach them and add further mud as needed. Remember not to go too overboard though, as often the process cannot be reversed whereas you can always add more incrementally...

I usually apply the mud to the hull with the runing gear off, then attach the running gear and apply it to the gear. I find it too difficult to properly cover everything otherwise.
