A week or so ago, DML released the first CAD image of a projected release in 1/35th Scale: the T30 HMC (based on the M3 Chassis).

At the same time, I got word about the launch of a New company, Vision Models and their first two releases which included the US M1A1 75mm Pack Howitzer.

Now, two things happened. Firstly, with the timing of the new release and the DML image, it looked as if DML were also developing the M1a1 Pack Howitzer (or at least that's what the speculation was).

However, since the T30 carried the 75mm Field howitzer on the T10 mount, rather than the 75mm PACK Howitzer. For a detailed explanation, of the differences, go here:

http://www.network54.com/Forum/47208/message/1238520002/T30+does+not+use+pack+howitzer+MOUNT

So, in a nutshell, DML are doing a DIFFERENT gun from Vision's - hopefully this will lay to rest the rumors that a) This was a 'spoiler' or b) Vision are part of DML...

Sheesh, rumors. Should we look for more on this in the next edition of People at the supermarket check-out?

Thanks for the update. Glad to see that Allied modelers will have two versions of the gun to choose from and not have to pick between two makers of the same one!

In an earlier post today I suggested something very similar to this and was told I was being inflammatory and was causing trouble and now it has been posted!

What can I say the companies do work off each other and they obviously are aware of each others products.

Thanks

Reminds me of the people who declared that Tamiya could "easily" produce a DUKW because they had the CCKW and "most of the parts were the same". In fact, I think about all that was the same (that could be seen in a model) was the steering wheel . . .

@ Neil, this is getting tiresome in the extreme. Your post has been edited (next time it's getting deleted). Either stay On-Topic or I will take action...
