A couple of weeks ago, we ran an Image Report on another future-release from Masterbox Ltd. - the D.A.K. AFV Crew. Now, the other ''side'' - a Commonwealth AFV Crew Set. The Photo-Report of this impressively innovative set can be seen:

Hi Jim,
This is one of those odd threads where the comments are showing up under the news but not here under the thread?
Good news though.

That's because the comments on the News Story page are from the 'What's New' which was posted on Historicus Forma. If this had been posted 2nd, the comments would be showing up on the News Story...
Hope you understand that, 'cos i'm damned if I do...

Nice set. I'd get it just for the camel and rider.

This was a common theme from the previous (D.A.K. set) which will include a donkey. I think i'll be strongly suggesting that the camels/donkeys etc. are sold seperately. The diorama people would love that...

Hi jim,
Perhaps not sold separately but as an alternative additional set of people/animals.
As they are doing these combos how about:

This figure kit is related to AFV figure subjects, yet it was posted on HF first. The report on the Japanese figure kit is not related to AFV subjects, yet it was posted on Armorama first.
Perhaps the news system needs revising... i.e non-AFV related figure news becoming exclusive to Historicus Forma? Surely, this would help HF develop as a site.
Just a piece of positive feedback for the good of the site... no personal attacks etc. etc.

This new set by Masterbox looks fantastic! The camel and Bedouin interest me the most. I will buy it. I hope Masterbox releases more figures in the same theme, like charging Bedouin riders with rifles aimed and swords drawn!
Alan, you are a genius. You can quote me on that.
If Masterbox releases a soldier on a donkey, a donkey and cart, and/or a small tyrannosaurus rex threatening Raquel Welch I will buy those too. Really. I will.

@ Chas, figure releases like this are given their own 'What's New' on both Armorama & HF. I tend NOT to use the AFV/Armor option for figures - I keep them in the correct category whether they're infantry or crew-sets. There's no reason to duplicate the actual News Report - sometimes a story published on HF gets linked onto Armorma as well...

Ok, I think I get it.
But, why was the Japanese figures news report comment button linked to the thread in the Figures forum? That kit has no relation to "primarily AFV figure subjects". The comment button should have been linked to the thread at HF, right?

Hi Doug,
I think the animal/rider make a great addition to both this set and the German AFV crew set, but I can see many people just needing the rider/animals only. Packaged both ways would please just about everyone.
I do love those two pictures the swasrica on the donkey is wierd and the other one looks like its had enought and is saying 'feed me or I ain't going nowhere :"D .

Hi Al,
I agree. If both sets existed, I would buy more of the animal heavy sets than the crew heavy sets. I would also like to see certain animals, like camels and mules, available in multiple poses. With the recent proliferation of WWII armor suitable for India and Burma, I wonder if Masterbox will deliver an elephant or tiger.
They are great pictures and now saved to my photo archive. If available in plastic I would buy both!
