I am looking for a 1/35 scale German Machine Gun crew to go in a Normandy diorama that I am doing and have not been able to locate a good set. The other German figures are all SS Grenadiers. I would prefer resin but at this point I am getting less picky. These are the last figures I need and I sure would appreciate any help that I could get.

Hi

Dragon 6064 German Machine Gun Crew any good ?

Old set and may be a little difficult to source although I've seen three sets on UK ebay whilst searching. Can't find any images of actual plastic, maybe someone who has these can comment.

6064 might be an option though where I was going to place it I was thinking more of a prone crew but it might work. Dragon USA currently has it in stock.

Hi

Tristar have a prone figure but I haven't seen the actual figures, but do have several other Tristar sets and they are good figures.

Verlinden do a set but in Winter outfits, same with other Dragon sets they are Winter or cold weather dressed.

Hi

Another alternative is to do some modifications to the Afrika Korps set. It may not even need it, just alter the uniform colour.

Thanks guys. I'll check out Tristar and I have the Dragon figures Afrika Korps 6389, I'll pull the box back and take another look at the figures.

Hornet heads and hands on Dragon figures and practically at resin with considerably less expense.

Don't forget the two Tamiya German Machine Gunner sets. The old one (35038) is probably hard to find, but the new one (35184) looks nice.

In digging in my stash I have discovered that I also have the Tamiya kit 35038. As the diorama is at a lull in the action I think I am going to try taking the MG34 from the Afrika Korps kit, the ammo cans and belts from the Tamiya kit and two of the figures from the Dragon Hohenstaufen Division kit 6282 for the crew. Without their weapons they should fit the pose of the gun crew (one crouching and one laying) behind the gun looking down the road. Anyway that's what I am going to try.

Thanks again guys I will let you know how it turns out.
