Hi everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post.
I know that I'm going slightly off topic and that some of you may frown on the subject, but I would love to share images of my latest and largest ever project.
THE DEATH STAR....
I was originally going to make a small playset for my kids Star Wars figures, but it kind of went a bit out of control.
It is mainly made of Mount Board. I used my kids Star Wars figures and I custom painted their Hasbro Legacy Millennium Falcon as the centre piece.
I had a huge amount of fun building, customising, setting up, photographing and editing and the kids are having a huge amount of fun playing with the set now that it's complete.
The best thing is, is that the whole thing folds flat and fits into an Art folder.
I hope you enjoy my work.
May the Force be with you...Always!

Work. Of. Art.
I love it - and I love the fact that you have passed on something of yours to your kids via your modelling skills.
Awesome man, awesome.
To be honest I want to play with it too....

Andy,
I love creating things that the kids will enjot playing with, it makes the art of creating something more rewarding for me and it stops them watching TV and gets them using their imagination.
I was a bit apprehensive in posting what is essentially a large childs toy, so thank you for your kind remarks.
Regards,
Julian

Capt,
Every diorama I have seen here is meticulous, so your positive words are very heartening.
Thank you!

Flat out AWESOME!!! Star Wars will never fade away with works like this around. Very exciting scene. Do you have a 'before' shot of the Millinium Falcon for comparison?
Congrats on a Sci-Fi "10"

Thanks everyone for your very positive comments. I promise I'll get a WW2 dio onto here at some point soon!
For the person who wanted a Tiger tank to feature here, joking aside, Star Wars is possibly the last and only epic Sci-fi film to have been be so heavily influenced by the events, ideology and imagery of WW2. Lucas used WW2 dogfight footage to convey how the space battle scenes would play out after his special effects team at ILM ran out of ideas. In the end his team litereally copied the WW2 shots frame for frame.

I've seen this before over at the FSM forums, and I'm still impressed. Since you seem to have had no problems in creating these, I believe that you should go into business for yourself friend! Sell these on the market!
