I have a few questions about how to use or apply Mr Surfacer 500:
1. Does it need to be diluted?
2. What do I use to apply it to the model?
3. If I use a old paint brush, what medium do I use to clean the brush?
Thanks for any info

1 - It doesn't have to be diluted. If you're spraying it with an Airbrush, you'll need to dilute it.
2 - A brush or an airbrush.
3 - Maybe it sounds stupid, but I use nail polish remover WITHOUT aceton (the normal version melts plastic). This is way cheaper and works as good as other thinners. You don't need to buy the top brands for this. The cheaper ones (2$?) work are fine. The same stuff can also be used to thin for airbrushing and cleaning your airbrush.

Lacquer thinner will thin or clean up Mr. Sufracer, and is cheap at any building supply or paint store, but beware the fumes of that or nail polish remover!

2 - A brush or an airbrush.
Depending on the area involved, I sometimes use toothpicks (cocktails sticks...little sticks with pointy ends) just dip and dab, dip and dab (modellers version of wax on, wax off?? ) . Saves me having to clean brushes for small, quick jobs.
Cheers
