When I want to hang extra stuff on the outside of my armor do I just wrap my foil straps around what I want to hang on the side and just glue it there.
Also how do I remove windshields that I used super glue to glue in.

I don't recommend using the Debonder for superglue in this instance as it will prob completly ruin the clear plastic parts.

You superglued the windshields in...Oh My. Best bet is to purchase some clear styrene sheet cut it to shape remove the old stuff by cutting or debonding and then elmer's gluing the new piece in when you are ready for it

To answer your question about baggage, I usually add lead sheet straps cut to the desired width beneath the pack, bag or whatever I want to hang. It has everything to do with what looks natural or realistic. If I make the pack from Tissue and Glue I would go completely around the item.

Again, it's what looks realistic.

Whiterook

If you apply stuff like bags and tentrolls to your vehicle it`s good to show that it`s actually attached to something. Often you see a really good tank where all types of helmets, backpacks, tentrolls and whatsoever is simply attached to the turret with nothing to hang on. Often you also see on the backs of tanks that the stuff is not tied down and that the tank will probably loose all his bagage when he goes full throttle. I would go for some thin strips of aluminium foil or something like that and show you bagage attached to something. be it a stowage hook or attached to the tools. Some tanks had some kind of racks or rods at the side of the turret here you also can hang stuff on also scratchbuilding a rod isn`t that hard and I believe you can do that couse there were a lot of fieldmodifications on those vehicles
I personally like the view of that and it are really small details that probably not that many people will notice but it gives the model more reality.
