Dear friends,
How would you display your 1/35 or 1/48 tank with interior (stand-a-lone or diorama) creatively? It not always that one has the reference or skills to create a blown up tank to show its innards.
It is always a waste to cover the nice interiors up.
Open for discussion

You could also cut some pieces out of the armor to show the armor.

The easiest way is to show the tank being repaired or assembled. Of course then one would have to create all the cranes (perhaps using Bergepanzers) and things.

yeah, i recall seeing cutaways on tigers in the 70's, even in 1/48 scale from Bandai who made complete interiors for some of their kits if i remember correctly, much like you would for automotive cutaways in books, really well done they were too. Dont see much of this nowa days?

I made clear castings of the hull top and turret top for my Academy Tiger I. That way it's all still there but you can see the crew inside and the whole interior.

I'm surprised that manufacturers don't offer separate transparent hulls - seems to me that they'd be quite popular with those who like doing interiors (and might also encourage more modllers to take a crack at modelling interiors).
