Did the large split hatch on the Sherman rotate? I have seen photos where the hatches opened to the sides and also to the front and rear but none at an angle and didn't know if they were welded like that. Also, would the brackets for the .50 cal be mounted on the back of the hull since most USMC Shermans didn't carry the M2? Does anyone make a reasonably priced dozer blade such as was used at Peleliu? Thanks in advance.

Yes, Trakz TKZ0114 Sherman M1 Dozer Blade Assembly between 25 and 33 dollars depending on where you go.

Peleliu items and info can be found at (They make some great transfers for Peleliu)

Besides Trakz, Verlinden and Resicast also make resin M1Dozers. I think they're all in the same price range. I recently used the Resicast one and don't have any complaints. For some good pics of an M1 Dozer, go here:
