Here's a few pics of a small vignette I'm putting together as a break from a couple of larger projects I've got on.

Path and fence are scratchbuilt with styrene strip and sheet, painted in Tamiya acrylics and weathered with oils. Path and road have had a dusting of real soil. There's a street lamp still to go in and bit more weatheing to be done:

Good work so far. A street lamp would add nicely to the scene.

Are you going to weather the fence a little more?

Chas,

Yes, the fence and the base will get a bit more weathering. Plus Models street lamps arrived today so that should be going in tomorrow

Great work John, ive seen this on the MM model site also. Just a thought, are you going to add anything to the pavement either side of the figure? perhaps a dead Wehrmacht or something similar. The scene reminds me of Call of duty world at war, Awesome stuff

Hello John.
Nice base and nice painting on the figure. These are well done.
But...
Have you considered the composition of the scene? Thats a lot of base for one figure and a lamp post.

Thanks for the comments.

Frank - once I add the rubble and some other general detritus, there'll be less bae base to be seen. An alternative of course would be to add a second figure on the road...

Hi John,

nice little scene you are creating here. I like your figure very much, nice camo, well doen. Is it a polish soldier?

Maybe you could stick some posters to the fence. That will give some variation in colour to your scene. I won't add much rubble to the street as there are no clues where it comes from.

Looking forward to the next update!
