Not of the MLRS and Scud launcher. I think DML is the only game in town in 1/35th scale...

I think Revell of Germany reboxes the MLRS and DML makes a West German MARS as well. The Scuds and Patriot are also made by Arii in 1/48 scale, but not very well done. Heller also makes the Patriot, but I think its the Arii kit reboxed. Arii's Patriot set is actually 4 or 5 kits, only one of which is the actual missile launcher. The others are the radar, antenna, and command control center.

Oh boy! Darn! Too many pieces! I only like one box at all. The mobile launchers are great. I don't like stationary land weapons :-)

The problem is, I don't trust the box. Looks kinda old. And I don't buy kits without a finished product either on the side so I can see how the model would look like after it is built

Sorry, Tamiya makes none of the kits you may want.

DML makes the SCUD and the MLRS.

A company called NIMIX of Spain makes a accurate Patriot launcher in resin for about $140US

There is no model I know of for a Tomohawk launcher, although it is a cool vehicle.

Red, The DML scud launcher is a monster of a kit but it can be built into a beautiful model. There are a couple of examples floating around here in the forums that were built for the Cold War Cook Off campaign.

No DML kit is truly "old" since they only hit the scene about 1989-1990. The box sides of most, if not all DML armor kits have photos of the completed model. The MLRS is a real nice kit. I don't know about the Scud, but someone just completed one on this site and posted photos. It looks real impressive. The DML MLRS is a post Gulf War kit and only around 11-12 years old.

BTW, none of these large tactical missiles is really mobile. They must stop, set up and fire from a stationary position. The MLRS does this fairly rapidly though.

Glencoe also produces a FROG (Free Rocket Over Ground) that is a missile mounted an a BTR-50 chassis (same chassis used on the PT-76). It is an ancient kit in 1/32 scale. They are dirt cheap though, running around $5 at online auction sites.

Oh, Sabot, you really haven't lived until you have at least attempted the Scud launcher. Mine is about 3/4 finished and has been that way for 3 years. The launcher has it all: About 12 sub assemblies, as many windows as three plane models, about four interior sections to detail, and the surface area of a Canadian rules football field to wash and dry brush. You can make a career out of this rascal.

#:-)

Yes my Scud was a bear to build and it is still waiting for the little parts and paint. But is is a nice big 1/35 scale.

Well, what I'm talking about mobile is their transportation on wheels. Surely, the SCUD must make a stop before shooting or else it won't hit the target, well, atleast a little bit accurately

There aren't any Tomahawk Launchers for you to buy in model form unfortunately.

I've been working on the USAF's BGM-109 (Gryphon) GLCM Launcher for a little while and conversing with former Missileers from Europe who crewed the weapon while detailing it. One of several projects I refrain from even putting up on my site until done. I just got a hold of the donor model for the Tractor for my Launcher - so I'm pretty jazzed - and got new impetus to move forward on completing it. The Tomahawk Gryphon is pretty cool in 1:35th scale, and I've been wanting to do it for awhile...
