A few weeks ago I saw a thread on how real beans were used as a base for a cobblestone
street, but now I can't find it. Can someone give me a hand here please.

Small pebbles (gravel) also works well in place of the "peas and beans" route! Best of all - they are the right colors to begin with!

Plastistruct also makes several varieys of sheet cobblestone which can be used for streets and sidewalks. It's cheap, easy to use, and a hell of a lot faster than laying individual pieces
